The immediate locality is ideal for walking or mountain biking; nesjavellir has 160 kilometres of marked and challenging hiking and biking trails in a region of high- temperature geothermal areas, hot springs, volcanic craters, lava fields, rivers and lakes, at the foot of mount hengill. The bustling city of reykjavik is 25 kilometres away, and guests can visit lake pingvallavatn, pingvellir national park and the brill gullfoss golden waterfall all within 80 kilometres. Reykjavik keflavik airport is approximately 100 kilometres from the hotel, a 90-minute drive.
