Located in the heart of reykjavik, only a few steps away from the bustling laugavegur shopping street, the city center pond and gardens and icelands finest restaurants, museums, cafes and bars. Domus guesthouse is a very enchanting stone building in the heart of reykjavik at hverfisgata 45. This was the former norwegian embassy and before that a known singing school in iceland. The guesthouse is within easy walking distance from the main shopping locality, laugavegur. Further more the icelandic opera, the national theatre and the culture residence as well as abundant galleries, museums, clubs, restaurants and cafes are within 3 minutes walking distance.

In the heart of reykjavik, this guest house offers a range of accommodation to suit the needs and budget of any traveller. The guest house’s attractive stone building was once the norwegian embassy in reykjavik and was then converted into a well-known singing school. It now offers a range of accommodation in the centre of reykjavik, with one, doubled and triple rooms obtainable, as well as confidential apartments and spaces in shared dormitories.

Domus is located in the reykjavik city center, museums, shops, bars, restaurants and cafes are all in just a 5 minute walking distance. The old reykjavik and the harbor are at the end of our street hverfisgata. Buses stop next to domus to take you round the city, if you rent a car we offer free parking spaces behind the guesthouse. When you possess booked a tour the tour bus will pick you up at our doorstep. We look forward to welcoming you to domus guesthouse.
