Hafnarfjordur is iceland´s third biggest community. It takes it´s name (meaning harbour-fjord) from the area´s excellent natural harbour. The town has its own culture and pastime and hosts an annual viking festival plus the bright days festival and the christmas village. Built of lava fileds, this town is renowned for its hidden elves and mystical beings, thought to inhabit the unique cliffs and rock formations.
