General Description
:
The fosshotel husavik is a tourist-class hotel situated in the heart of the pretty fishing village of husavik and it is the only hotel in the town. Husavik itself is a place not to be missed, as it is the whale watching capital of iceland during the summer months of may through august. Husavik is renowned for its warm and healthy geothermal water. Scheduled buses run from downtown husavik to all nearby sights and to akureyri town. The fosshotel husavik has 44 comfortable guest rooms, all with private bathrooms, satellite tv, radio and telephone. The guest rooms are mostly carpeted while a few possess parquet floors. The view from the guest rooms is either a sea view or over the pretty village husavik to the hills outside the village. For lunch or dinner, the hotel has the northern lights restaurant located on the first floor of the hotel. There are other restaurants nearby. There is also the square sport pub with its live action sports and bright snacks. The fosshotel husavik offers onsite dining and it is convenient to attractions and recreational areas.This is an excellent base from which to explore northern iceland. Although husavik is less picturesque than the nearby lake myvatn region it is well known as a whale safari centre. Ry0107this is a classy, purpose-built hotel.The lobby is little and simple-looking.
